Caregiving Recovery Plan
After an intense period like hospitalization, decline, or crisis, both you and your caree deserve time to recover. This planning session helps you rebuild, create new routines, and move forward with strength.
After the Crisis Comes Recovery
A hospitalization. A sudden decline. A health crisis. A caregiver's collapse. These intense periods change everything—your routines, your caree's capabilities, your emotional reserves, your physical health.
When the immediate crisis passes, what comes next isn't a return to "normal." It's recovery. And recovery requires intention, planning, and compassion for yourself and your family member.
This planning session helps you both recover—body, mind, and spirit.

When is the right time to do this session after a crisis?
There's no perfect timing. Some families benefit from planning recovery immediately after crisis passes. Others need a little breathing room first. Come when you're ready to move forward and build a recovery plan.
What if my caree isn't able to recover like they were before?
Recovery doesn't mean returning to exactly how things were. Sometimes it means accepting a new normal while working toward the best possible quality of life. We'll plan recovery based on your caree's realistic capabilities.
I'm still emotionally exhausted from the crisis. Will this session help?
Yes. Processing what you've been through and creating a plan for your own recovery is an important part of healing. You don't have to figure this out alone.
What if my recovery needs are greater than what can be addressed in one session?
This session creates your recovery plan and helps you identify what support you need—whether that's therapy, coaching, medical care, or community connection. You can also schedule follow-up sessions with a Certified Caregiving Consultant.
Can I attend if I'm not in crisis recovery right now?
This session is designed for families in active recovery from a recent crisis. If you're looking for support in other areas of caregiving, we have other planning sessions that might be a better fit.
How long does recovery typically take?
Recovery timelines are different for everyone. Physical recovery, emotional recovery, and establishing new routines all happen at different paces. During the session, we'll help you develop realistic expectations for your specific situation.
