Your Annual Value: $164,000

411 family caregivers used the Non-Reimbursed Family Caregiver Savings Calculator for the first time to calculate their value.

On average, they selected 34 of 53 care responsibilities which represents the scope of their work. That work is valuable which is why we deliver a number representing that family caregiver’s worth.

Their work isn’t tasks and chores. It’s responsibilities spanning 9 domains: Advocating, Assessing, Being, Communicating, Deciding, Managing, Planning, Providing, Sustaining.

When I built out these domains, I hoped family caregivers would see their work represented. They do.

The average annual value of their work: $164,000. The average lifetime value: $2 million.

Family caregivers average 57.9 hours a week of caregiving work over nearly 10 years.

83.5% already operate at 7 or more of the 9 domains on the first time they crunched their numbers. They didn’t build up to that breadth. They arrived with it.

Caregiving begins with complexity. Support for family caregivers, including those new to the role, needs to address that complexity.

We have repeat visitor data which I’ll share in the next week. That’s really interesting, too.

Your work has a number. I’d love to know yours. Calculate your value.
