In the winter, I love to watch beautiful, fluffy snowflakes fall. After they land, they gather into a pile of stunning, fluffy whiteness that invites us to just dive in.
I wonder if we can take a page from the snowflakes and be fluffy.
What if we fluff:
- our descriptions of a good outcome we created through our hard, diligent work. Rather than minimizing that commitment to that wonderful result, we can add some fluff. “I’m so happy that my hard work paid off.”
- our time with those we love. We can make sure we share what we love about them, why they mean so much to us and how they add meaning to our lives.
- the few minutes we can find for ourselves every day. We can fluff our moments by listening to the playlist that comforts or inspires or energizes. We choose what we need to hear in that moment. We also can add fluff by taking note of our three positives, our unexpected blessings and that mini miracle that made a trying experience so much better.
We can remind ourselves that the fluff option exists for us at any moment. We can remember by asking ourselves this question to start our day, “What can I fluff today?”
What can you fluff?
