As a Comfort Care Family Coach, you support family caregivers
during one of their most tender times: Their caree’s last year.
Your Comfort Care Family Coach training includes:
1. Our Caregiving Master Classes
Our Caregiving Master Classes form the foundation for our training material and include The Six Caregiving Stages, The Caregiving Fatigues, Resilience During Caregiving, The Family Caregiver’s House of Cards, The Art of Listening, The 17 Caregiving Systems, The Care Budget, Strategies to Manage Caregiving Disputes, The Daily Healing Plan and Grieving After Caregiving.
2. Specialized Training
We include modules on Cultivating Systemic Inclusion and resources to help if a client expresses suicidality.
3. Effective Communication Training
Learn our three-prong communication strategy: Asking, listening and validating. With our techniques, you’ll provide the support your clients want and need.
4. Live Training
Join Denise for 8 hours of live training to practice your skills and add to your knowledge base about providing comfort care services. You’ll also receive guidance about the pricing for the services you offer. Choose to start your live training on the first Thursday during the months of November, January, March, May, September or August. During those months we host the live training, our live training will take place on Thursdays at 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT, 2 p.m. PT). To complete your live training, you’ll join Denise for two hours over four Thursdays, beginning on the first Thursday of the month we hold the live training.
5. Marketing Support
You’ll complete a market research assignment during our training so you have insights into the services your community wants and needs. In addition, you’ll receive a 45-minute workshop about the Pragmatic/Transiting Caregiver stage you can deliver online and in-person during caregiving conferences, community events and Lunch and Learn workshops for your local employers. You’ll also receive our Linkedin training to help you grow your network and influence.
6. A Community of Comfort Care Family Coaches
Connect with other coaches in our group on CaringOurWay.com. In addition to accessing to your material on our website, you’ll also have access to your training material on Caring Our Way. You can access your training material via two convenient options. You also can join Denise for Office Hours on Fridays at 3 p.m. ET to ask questions and receive support. In addition, you can attend monthly meetings with other coaches and consultants to share insights, ideas and support.
7. A Library of Material and Tools
You’ll receive digital copies of Denise’s books, our proprietary research about the caregiving experience plus Comfort Care Caregiving Wheels you can personalize with your brand.
In total, your training is 40 hours and can be completed within three months.
