Beginning Again: Return to Work After Loss
Support for employees grieving the loss of a family member they cared for
Grief comes to work with us. Employees returning to work after losing a family member—especially one they cared for—often feel isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure how to move forward. They're managing profound loss while trying to stay focused and productive.
The Beginning Again Program offers support. Through guided videos and live support meetings, your employees connect with others who understand their experience and learn coping strategies that help them heal while honoring their grief.
What Participants Say
What's Covered: Five Dimensions of Healing
The program explores grief across five essential life areas. Each theme includes two 50-minute videos followed by live support meetings facilitated by Certified Caregiving Consultants.
Our Home
How do we adjust our homes to honor our loved ones while creating space for our own grief and healing?
Our Work
How do we show up at work while grieving? How can our work reflect our current values and priorities?
Our Relationships
How do we find forgiveness and healing in our relationships? How do we build new connections?
Our Loose Ends
How do we manage the practical details of settling an estate and honoring our loved one's affairs?
Our Selves
How do we care for our bodies, minds, and souls? What might our next steps in life look like?
How the Program Works
Self-Paced Videos
Participants watch two 50-minute videos per theme at their own pace, learning from Certified Caregiving Consultants who have personal grief experience.
Live Support Meetings
After each theme, participants are invited to attend optional live meetings to reflect with others and deepen their understanding.
Reflect, Receive, Recover
The program guides participants through reflection (understanding grief), receiving (connecting with others), and recovering (moving forward).
When to Refer an Employee to Beginning Again
Refer your employee when they disclose any of these situations:
- A family member has entered hospice
- A family member has recently died
- A family member died within the past year
- A family member died several years ago but grief is affecting work
- They're currently caregiving but worried about life after their family member passes
Important note: There's no timeline for grief. We understand that healing happens at its own pace. Whether someone lost their family member last month or years ago, our program offers support tailored to their current needs.
