Program Overview

As a Certified Caregiving Systems Navigator™, you help families find the resources, services, and support they need as they manage the care of another. You connect families to solutions. This 24-hour training program prepares you to guide family caregivers through the complexity of the 19 Caregiving Systems and help them create effective plans for accessing benefits, programs, and services.

This training is especially relevant given Medicare's 2024 decision to reimburse system navigators for helping families. Whether you're a social worker, Community Health Worker, peer support specialist, or case manager working in healthcare, nonprofits, palliative care, or faith communities—you'll learn to ease the stress and confusion family caregivers experience when navigating complex systems.

• Creating The Help Plan—identifying needed support
• Creating The Care Plan—matching help to benefits and services
• Creating The Evolving Care Plan—updating plans as needs change
• Using The Daily Recovery Plan for crisis support
• Referring to overlooked resources (employers, insurance, programs)
• Overcoming common navigation challenges and system obstacles

Medicare Reimbursement Opportunity

This training is especially timely: Medicare began reimbursing system navigators in 2024 for helping families manage care needs. As a Certified Caregiving Systems Navigator, you'll be positioned to benefit from this growing reimbursement opportunity while providing critical support to family caregivers.

Certification Requirements

You'll become a Certified Caregiving Systems Navigator™ after completing:

Timeline: Complete all requirements within 90 days of your final live training date. Those completing after 91 days incur a $200 penalty fee. Plan your practice plans and exam completion strategically within this timeframe.

Continuing Education Credits Available

We've been approved to provide 24 continuing education hours for healthcare professionals and coaches who complete our Certified Caregiving Systems Navigator™ training program. Credits are provided by the Continuing Education Institute of Illinois.
